Secure access, made simple.

Independent project. Vision VPN is a VPN subscription service that brings account access, connection setup, and infrastructure operations into one product. This case study documents the product and technical approach without claiming unverified commercial or network results.

The problem

Buying a VPN subscription can force people to make several decisions at once: which plan to choose, what the renewal terms mean, which devices are supported, and how access becomes active after payment. Technical language and fragmented account screens can make a simple purchase feel uncertain.

Vision VPN brings plan selection, checkout, activation, and subscription management into one service. The interface explains the commitment before payment and gives each subscription a clear state after purchase.

Role and constraints

The project covers product framing, purchase-flow architecture, responsive interface design, and the boundary between subscription management and VPN infrastructure.

  • Prices, billing periods, renewal terms, and cancellation rules should be visible before checkout.
  • The purchase flow should work with a keyboard and remain understandable on a narrow screen.
  • Account, payment, and entitlement states need distinct, recoverable error handling.
  • Network speed, privacy, and uptime claims require real infrastructure testing and are outside this project's scope.

Purchase flow and information architecture

The journey uses three core steps: choose a plan, confirm account and payment details, then activate access. Plans use the same information order so people can compare billing periods, supported devices, and included locations without translating different card layouts.

The order summary stays visible before the final action and separates the current charge from future renewal. After purchase, the account view becomes the source of truth for status, renewal date, connected devices, and available applications.

Service architecture

Remnawave manages VPN access and subscription provisioning. The Telegram bot gives users a direct channel for onboarding, checking subscription status, and receiving access instructions.

Docker packages the service components, Portainer provides operational control over the containers, and Grafana surfaces service health and resource metrics. Keeping these concerns separate makes deployment and infrastructure state easier to inspect.

The interface shown here uses illustrative data. A production service also requires audited session handling, encrypted secrets, payment-provider compliance, and operational monitoring.

Subscription management

The account area distinguishes active, pending, expiring, and ended subscriptions with text as well as color. Primary actions change with the state: complete payment, download an application, renew access, or review cancellation details.

The mobile experience prioritizes connection status and location choice, while the administration view surfaces aggregate subscription and server health. Both views use the same vocabulary for plans and status so support conversations do not require translation between systems.

Accessibility and validation

Every field keeps a visible label, validation messages point to a specific correction, and focus moves to the first blocking error after submission. Price changes are announced without replacing the full page, and the essential purchase summary does not depend on animation or color.

Playwright scenarios would cover plan selection, failed and successful payment states, account activation, keyboard navigation, and responsive overflow. Security, latency, and availability would need separate infrastructure tests before any production claim could be made.

Result and next steps

This case documents the service model, responsive purchase flow, and operating stack rather than measured conversion or network results. Further usability testing can check whether people understand the renewal terms, complete checkout, and find their active access without assistance.

Lessons to carry forward

Trust in a subscription product starts before payment. Clear terms, predictable state changes, and recoverable errors are as important to the experience as the feature being purchased.
